Dr. Taylor Mader hails from the Texas hill country and graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in anthropology and a minor in biology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, the state’s oldest medical school.
After completing her internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Dr. Mader pursued further specialization in rheumatology at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she served as chief rheumatology fellow during her final year of training.
Board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology, Dr. Mader previously practiced in Pensacola, Florida, before relocating to Greenwood, South Carolina. Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of rheumatological conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, gout/pseudogout, inflammatory myopathies, osteoporosis, lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome and scleroderma.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mader enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her husband.
