Sarah Stephenson, FNP-BC

Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Sarah Stephenson graduated cum laude from The University of Tennessee in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She began her nursing career as a registered nurse at Parkwest Medical Center, where she worked in the Critical Care Unit. Driven by a passion for advanced patient care, she pursued her Master of Science in Nursing at Lincoln Memorial University, graduating in 2013. Sarah has been specializing in rheumatic conditions and treatment options since 2015 when she joined a private rheumatology practice in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2019, she returned to her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, where she joined Rheumatology Associates of East Tennessee (now Articularis Rheumatology Specialists).

Sarah is an active member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Association of Women in Rheumatology (AWIR), Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers (RhAPP), and the Tennessee Rheumatology Society (TRS). Outside of work, she cherishes time with her husband, son, and golden retriever, Riley. You can often find her at the baseball park cheering on her son, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, or attending University of Tennessee athletic events.
