Kurt Blake, MD

A welcome addition to Articularis Rheumatology Specialists in 2025, Dr. Kurt Blake is a highly skilled rheumatologist with dual board certifications in internal medicine and rheumatology. Dr. Blake earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Mona in Jamaica, followed by an internal medicine residency at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Georgia. He then completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he honed his expertise in diagnosing and managing complex autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Blake’s diverse background also includes experience as a sports medicine physician for the Jamaican national soccer team. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Blake is passionate about medical education. He has served as a pharmacology instructor at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, helping train the next generation of healthcare professionals. Combining his clinical expertise, teaching experience, and enthusiasm for patient care, Dr. Blake provides comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients. 

Outside of his practice, Dr. Blake enjoys staying active through kickboxing and working out at the gym. By demonstrating the importance of leading a balanced and healthy lifestyle himself, Dr. Blake hopes to encourage his patients to do the same to allow for best treatment outcomes and improved quality of life while navigating the ever-changing symptoms of their rheumatic conditions.
