
Katherine Runyan, PA-C
Katherine Runyan earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and went on to earn a Master of Public Health in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, TN.
She has been practicing rheumatology in the Knoxville area since 2015. Passionate about advancing the field, she serves as the Tennessee co-chapter leader for AWIR (Association of Women in Rheumatology) and is an active member of TRS, RhAPP, TAPA, and AAPA. She also mentors future PAs as a preceptor for local PA programs and has guest lectured on rheumatology at several conferences put on by her alma mater as well as the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants.
In addition to her professional contributions, Katherine was the 2024 Jingle Bell Run Honoree and is a dedicated advocate for the Arthritis Foundation. Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy life in Knoxville staying busy with their two children and three dogs.
