Dr. Gregory Niemer earned a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Clemson University. During his time at Clemson, he garnered prestigious accolades, including membership in the Tiger Brotherhood and the presidency of the Blue Key National Honor Fraternity (1990-1991). Notably, he was selected as an Outstanding College Student of America and recognized as a Clemson Alumni Presidential Scholar.
In 1996, Dr. Niemer completed an internship in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a residency in internal medicine, and in 1998, a fellowship in rheumatology. Throughout his career, he actively participated in five different clinical studies, serving as a principal investigator for both an Amgen “KIND” study and an Immunex “RADIUS I” study. His research contributions extend to published articles, including collaborative work on “Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in Sarcoidosis” with M.B. Bolster, L. Buxbaum, and M.A. Judson.
Dr. Niemer holds board certifications in both internal medicine and rheumatology, reflecting his commitment to excellence in medical practice.
